  I was offered a car with no USB connection and when I told the male attendant he became very rude and aggressive, but the car was also old and the seats were stained and dirty, it had no instruction manual and the bluetooth would not work. I asked for a different vehicle and he became more aggressive and rude. The car I was offered had a USB, but it was broken, when I told the male attendant he did not believe me and raised his voice to me. He demanded I give him my cable in a very aggressive and loud voice. I felt frightened. When I drove the car, it started shuddering and the light came on. I took it to Campbelltown because it was closer. They were very rude there as well. They showed no concern for my safety and said I needed to call Bankstown. They eventually gave me a replacement vehicle. When I started driving it, it seemed to be driving poorly. The next day I drove it and the back tyre completely blew when i was on the highway, the electrics also would not work, so I was driving with a completely fogged up window. I was able to pull over. I called roadside assist and they were so rude and kept asking me the same questions over and over, even though I had been very clear about my location. Luckily, a police offer was driving past and changed the tyre. I was told I would need to go to a tyre fitters and have a new tyre fitted at my expense, even though I paid for top cover and am a Gold member. I took it to Canberra to exchange and the whole process was difficult and took over one hour. I will not rent a car from Hertz again.
  Tried to charge me for a late return, even though I returned the car earlier than when I left. As discussed above, there were so many issues with the cars they offered me, I did not leave until after 11.30am. I returned it at 10.50. The male attendant who yelled at me was serving me and blamed the computer. I told him it was still within the hour of the original time, without taking account of the delays caused by the faults with the cars, and that the website said there was not charge and he was very rude and aggressive. Eventually, one of the other female attendants said to close it out and I had to ask if I was going to be charges a late fee because they did not explain what that meant. This was very poor service and there is no need to be hostile to customers.
  The Bankstown location is very poor. All the vehicles seem to be mechanically unsound or have other issues and poor maintenence. The female staff members were okay, but were rude at times, but they male attendant was very hostile, rude and aggressive.
